Derby fine Mason Bennett and Tom Lawrence and hand pair community service orders

Mason Bennett and tom Lawrence have now been fined six weeks wages by Derby and awarded 80 hour community service requests.
The sanctions are bringing the club into disrepute and such as breaking up a bar curfew – after the pair have been included in what Derby explained as aalcohol-related incident week.
Midfielder Lawrence, 25, and forward Bennett, 23, were charged with drink-driving following a crash in Derbys Allestree region.
A Derby statement :D erby County Football Club has completed the disciplinary hearing regarding Tom Lawrence and Mason Bennett in respect of the participation in the events of last Tuesday night, which resulted in both of them being arrested and scheduled to appear in court on October 15th.
Irrespective of the outcome of that process, the club wont tolerate any of its players or staff acting in a manner which places themselves, their colleagues, and members of the general public at risk of injury or worse, or which brings the team into disrepute.
Both the Lawrence and Bennett are consequently being fined the equivalent of six weeks wages – the highest allowable limitation – and also will serve an additional 80 hours of rehabilitation and community, which will include a beverage aware class.
The team will be making no additional comment regards this issue.
Bennett stated:At the night of Tuesday 24th September, I made enormous mistakes after consuming alcohol.
Everything I did was incorrect.
Being a footballer, along with also somebody who youthful lovers look up to, I know the example I set is key. I am embarrassed.
At 23 Im old enough, and I had been brought up, to understand much better.
I understand that such activities have serious consequences. I take responsibility and take the punishment that the club has already issued.
I have to, and will, learn from such events and will try to be a better person.
There is no excuse for what Ive done. Im sorry to my loved ones, my friends, the clubDerby fans and to the wider football community, I let you down
